Living Environment in Tochigi

Tochigi Prefecture is located in the northern part of Kanto region, in a range of 60 km to 160 km from Tokyo. Having the Tohoku Expressway, Tohoku Shinkansen, and JR Tohoku line running through the prefecture from south to north, and fully completed Kitakanto expressway in 2011, JR Ryomo, and JR Mito lines connect from east to west. Tochigi Prefecture is situated on the hub of the road and railway networks, and making up the complete traffic infrastructure.

Spacious housing and relatively mild climate help to realize an affluent living. Further more, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Nikko, historical city Ashikaga since Muromachi-era, many hot springs such as Kinugawa, Shiobara, and Yunishigawa, and Nikko and Oze national parks will be able to provide you a complete fulfilling holiday. 　

The weather in the temperate humid climate, and few damages of natural disasters such as typhoon and flooding, constitute one of the biggest elements for the comfortable living in Tochigi prefecture.

Also Utsunomiya city, the cultural and economical center of Tochigi, are located within the range where residents can commute to Tokyo, with having many administrative bodies, financial institutes, and head offices and branches of enterprises, it has been redeveloping in aiming to create a further attractive city as the largest city in the Kitakanto region.
